Spring City Spinners is a bicycle touring club located in Waukesha Wisconsin. We emphasize group recreational cycling, safe and effective riding, socializing, bicycle advocacy, and FUN!

ANNUAL EVENTS

The Club sponsors an annual tour each fall. This ride, the Pedal the Kettle, features a marked route with ride options between 30 and 100 miles. Food and water stops with home-made cookies, maps, and sag wagon services are provided. Over 200 riders from Wisconsin and neighboring states participate in this annual event.

The club also sponsors an annual Icicle Bicycle Ride on New Year's Day. The length of the ride depends on the weather and road conditions.

Annual memberships are available for individuals and families. Membership benefits include:

CLUB AFFILIATIONS

The club is a member of the League of American Bicyclists (L.A.B.). The L.A.B. is a national bicycle organization founded in 1880. It has stood for the rights of bicyclists and is a strong voice in bicycling laws on the state and federal levels.

The club also belongs to the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin which advocates for the bicyclist among various governmental agencies.

CLUB HISTORY

The Spring City Spinners began in 1982 as a small group of bicyclist interested in riding together, sharing knowledge, and having fun. By-laws were established, officers elected and a regular meeting schedule established. The club was incorporated in 1987.
